Best defense is a shotgun. 3) Shoot the strings that hold Screaming Mantis' puppets. 4) Pick them up and use them against Screaming Mantis. 5) When Meryl attacks you, use a nonlethal weapon (do NOT kill her!). 6) Use the last doll to beat the beast form. 7) Then in human form, finish her off. You can see where the Octopus is hiding and follow the Wolf's footprints in the snow. Also, I used the grenade launcher to kill the Wolf.
